Hole, along with Garth Brooks, really took the spotlight on the night since Madonna was a last-minute cancellation. Frontwoman Courtney Love did say she enjoyed the opportunities performing at a mainstream awards show like Billboard brought to herself and the band. "I met Garth Brooks, who I really liked," she said, though she admitted she was nervous "to play for mainstream America." As for tour plans, the band is juggling options, though Love said, "If we get big and superhuge, we'll just do it ourselves," instead of co-headlining a tour with Alanis Morrisette or another artist.
