Hole is a threatening,
abrasive band, composed mostly of women, who owe most to the Sex Pistols
and other '70s punk. The band, particularly Courtney Love's raw, primal
scream of a voice, sounds considerably better on their upcoming debut disc.
Hole became insufferably grating live after a couple of numbers. Sound
problems contributed to its downfall.
