COURTNEY LOVE STRIPS AT VANCOUVER CLUB

In typical low-key fashion, Courtney Love delighted and shocked patrons at a Vancouver nightclub with an impromptu performance and striptease, according to The Vancouver Province.

The paper reports Love -- who is in Vancouver to film her next movie "24 Hours" and recently suffered a miscarriage -- was in the audience at the club Richard's On Richards to see former Lemonheads singer Evan Dando last Saturday.

Dando's performance was to finish by 9:30 p.m. so the club could host a regular disco night, but Love climbed onstage to jam with Dando on the Lemonheads hit "Into Your Arms" -- the paper said it was the first time Love had performed onstage in two years.

After attempting to play guitar with an elaborate set of "movie nails," the singer chomped off her expensive manicure and performed a solo version of her band Hole's song "Doll Parts," followed by what was described as "an improvised jam that offered up lyrics about her life," the report said.

The Province said that by 10 p.m., staff at the bar were desperate to get the duo offstage. When Love's offer to buy the house a drink on her "24 Hours" co-star Charlize Theron's credit card was rejected, she removed her black top and displayed her breasts to the audience, the report said.
