FAN REVIEW

Before
the show started I saw Samantha hanging out by the bar and I went over and met
her. She seemed really excited about the show and told me that Courtney has been
completely sober for three months now. She was also really excited about her new
drum set which is tricked out with lights inside. She seems like a very, very
nice and genuine person.
The show started with Courtney dancing on stage to a song called "South of
Heaven" then the band went into Mono. I thought they sounded really tight
and well rehearsed. During Malibu Courtney kept positioning her arms and legs as
if she was riding on a surf board. At one point Courtney read a napkin that
someone through on stage that had "you inspire me with every breath you
take", or something to that effect written on it. She started laughing and
tore it up. "I'll Do Anything" was on the set list after
"Malibu" but they didn't perform it. At another point in the show
Courtney asked the audience if they wanted to her favorite song
"Awful" and the nobody cheered! So she decided to skip that one too. I
actually think people were having a difficult time understanding her when she
was talking. That's probably why people didn't cheer like she wanted. They play
a great version of "Sunset Strip" with Lisa on a 12 string guitar.
During that song some threw an ice cube at Courtney and it hit her right on her
right nipple (which must have hurt)! and she started laughing and licking her
lips in the middle of the song.
Other than that the show was pretty uneventful (for a Courtney show) but I
thought both Courtney and The Chelsea sounded great and amazing. They had a lot
of cool Chelsea and Courtney Shirts for sale at the show, along with beanies and
pins and drum sticks. Like I said over all it was a great show and hopefully
we'll see a decent bootleg come out of it so everyone who can't get to these
shows can hear.
