FAN REVIEW

Courtney arrived in style to the Fillmore in a limo. The anticipation was building as we watched the Suicide Girls and Icarus Line perform. The Suicide Girls were very entertaining and different from anything I'd ever seen at a concert before! They put on quite a little show prancing around nearly naked with just tape to cover their nipples. One of the girls did some amazing things with a large hula hoop. That took talent! The band Icarus Line was okay, but we couldn't even hear the singer. They really needed to turn up his mic! He was drowned out by the overly loud bass and guitar.

When The Chelsea came on stage, the crowd went wild. But that was nothing compared to when Courtney appeared. Everyone went nuts, pushing and shoving towards the front to get a closer look. I was right up front against the barracade with my husband next to me. He ended up behind me to protect me from the mosh pit that formed behind us. I was squashed quite a few times and probably would have went home with an injury if he hadn't gotten behind me forming a wall between me and the crazy people. Courtney looked amazing as ever with her bleach blonde hair in loose messy ringlets and a cute black babydoll dress. She had on thigh high stockings, but ended up taking them off. Through the performance she asked the crowd for requests and mentioned a couple times that she was born here in San Francisco. One girl asked her to play "Pretty on the Inside", but Courtney refused. Courtney mentioned that she had put on a little weight since she'd recently been "rehabbed" and jokingly said that all of us would eventually go to rehab once in our lifetimes, if we hadn't gone already. She has put on a few pounds, but she looked great. She looked healthy and happy. She did not play guitar just like the San Diego show, only sang. And she said she felt weird not playing the guitar. But she sang great and only forgot some lyrics here and there. You have some memory lapses here and there when you're newly sober... At one point, Courtney got close enough to touch and one deranged fan grabbed her breasts and would not let go. Courtney firmly pointed at the person and said, "Stop that." I couldn't quite reach her to touch her, but my husband did. He touched her leg and pretty much everywhere else while she was squatting down singing to the crowd. There were a couple of other crazy fans who ended up being tossed over the barracade. I think one of them was actually thrown out of the Fillmore for being obnoxious and dangering others, but I'm not completely sure. After she was tossed over, she actually tried to get to Courtney, but one of the guards grabbed her and took her away. Courtney threw water on us a few times and we got a little wet and she famously chain smoked throughout the performance. This one guy kept yelling at Courtney to play "Sunset Strip", but she never played it. And this girl who was standing next to me kept yelling for Courtney to show us her underwear, which we did get a flash of a couple times.

When Courtney and her band left the stage, Robin Williams came out to say hello! I couldn't quite understand what he said, but he spoke just for a minute before Courtney and her band came back out on stage to do their encore. As Robin Williams was walking off the stage and Courtney returned, he kissed her and she was in awe at the sight of him. She had no idea he was going to show up, apparently... and neither did anyone else. It was really cool!

The whole show was absolutely amazing and goes down in history as one of the best nights of my life! I think the other people there would agree. The only thing that would have made that night better was if I could have actually met Courtney. But maybe some other time, I hope!!!
